Introducing Professional Engagement
In this lab, we will cover the competencies required by an educator to engage professionally with their colleagues, students, and community members, within and outside the boundaries of their institutions.
Educators need digital competencies that are displayed in their ability to use digital devices and digital technologies, not only in teaching digitally, but also for:
- Interacting with colleagues, learners, parents, and other interested parties
- For their own professional development
- For the collective good of the organization, improvement in the organization, and innovation in the teaching profession.
This will be the focus of this lab work.
The Competencies covered in the four topics of this lab work will therefore be:
- Organisational Communication.
- Professional collaboration.
- Reflective Practice.
- Digital Continous Professional Development.
